Bugando Hospital will serve as the hub, while regional hospitals like Sekou Toure Regional Referral Hospital, along with district hospitals in Sengerema, Misungwi, Buchosa, and Nyamagana, will be spoke facilities, linked as part of an interconnected care network. 🩺🏥

NEST360 gathers stakeholders to advance neonatal care in Tanzania 🇹🇿✨

@NEST360org is committed to improving neonatal care in Tanzania 🇹🇿, aiming to cut neonatal mortality from 24 to 12 per 1,000 live births by 2030.
During our recent meeting in Dar es Salaam (Oct 24-25, 2024), key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health (@wizara_afyatz) and PO-RALG (@ortamisemitz), reviewed Phase 1️⃣ progress and aligned strategies for Phase 2️⃣.

Ifakara engages with 5 health facilities for NEST360 phase 2

🎉 The @ifakarahealth engaged with five health facilities in Dar es Salaam, #Tanzania on the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) for the implementation of Phase 2 of the Newborn Essential Solutions and Technologies (@NEST360org) Program. The MoUs are expected to be signed soon! 🚼💪

The facilities include Mabwepande District Hospital, Ubungo District Hospital, Kigamboni District Hospital, Kivule District Hospital, and Yombo Vituka Health Center. 🤝🏻

NEST360 officially kicks off its second phase in Tanzania 🇹🇿

Today, @Wizara_afyatz and @NEST360org Alliance launched Phase 2 of the Newborn Essential Solutions and Technologies (NEST360) program at Ubungo District Hospital in Dar.

NEST360, implemented in Tanzania by @Ifakarahealth and partners including @RiceUniversity, aims to improve newborn care with phase 2 focusing on scaling up newborn care within districts and enhancing quality coverage and care of newborns throughout Tanzania and Zanzibar. 🏥👶

The launch is a significant step forward in reducing newborn deaths! 🌍✨ NEST360, an evidence-based health systems package, aims to achieve this goal by enhancing newborn care across Africa.
