This is not a dictatorship! Everyone has the right to peacefully protest and raise their genuine demands within the ambit of the Constitution! I am sure the administration understands that the stipend being given in our UT is among the lowest in the country and genuinely deserves to be raised!
I request @RukhsanaNajeeb Sahiba to act sensibly and also request @DCAnantnag , @DrBilalbhatIAS Sahab to personally intervene in this matter!
@sakinaitoo
Pathetically shameful. Remaining silent, muting discussions, and showing zero seriousness towards our own rights is disgraceful. Instead of supporting us, you are trying to be a dictator @RukhsanaNajeeb
We feel pity for you that you belong to the field of medicine .
So Medical interns ask for a stipend hike. The response? Pure colonial muscle memory.
Even Colonial British General O’Dyer would be turning in his grave to see such bureaucratic competition.
Lets remind the Prinicipal madam that we are living in 2026 not 1926 ! 💀
Deeply concerned by reports of GMC Anantnag allegedly targeting students for raising the MBBS intern stipend issue.
Raising stipend issue is not a crime. We request the colge admin to ensure student dignity .

Equal Pay Is a Fundamental Right, Not a Favour.
J&K interns being paid less than their equally positioned counterparts directly violates the Supreme Court’s landmark ruling of October 26, 2016, where Justices Khehar and Bobde held that equal pay for equal work is an unambiguous legal right, applicable to both regular and temporary employees alike.
Denying this right is, in the Court’s own words, exploitative enslavement. India’s ratification of the ICESCR on April 10, 1979 further obligates the State to ensure just wages for all workers.
This is not a demand. It is the law.
What exactly is their crime ? Raising issues ?
@OmarAbdullah ji please ensure no action is taken against them or the doctors will have to go for peacefully protesting for their rights .
Doctors at GMC Anantnag who flagged their legitimate demand of increasing stipend for medical interns in J&K have been ‘summoned’ for ‘violating’ college norms.
Pray tell what rule have they broken? Is articulating one’s grievance peacefully also a crime? Our doctors deserve dignity along with redressal of their genuine demands.
Unbelievable that Health Minister is instead ensuring they are punished. Intolerance at its peak.
Request @DCAnantnag@DrBilalbhatIAS for their kind intervention.

I spent my first day of Ramadan in the Rohingya camps in Cox Bazaar, Bangladesh, with Mr Bilal Erdogan. We saw some incredible work being done at a field hospital, school, and vocational training centre, all thanks to TIKA and Diyanet Vakfi. But, we can do more for our Rohingya brothers and sisters. Let's come together and make a difference!
