This is the third start for Johan Manzambi at #AVFC and essentially his remit at the start of every match has been different. In many ways, the perfect Emery attacker. Versatile, a ball-carrier and able to exploit different spaces on the pitch. Early days but a remarkable addition.

[Aston Villa Statto @AVFCStatto]

📊 No Aston Villa player has won more tackles in the Premier League this season than João Gomes (9).

Gomes has played just 129 minutes in the competition for #AVFC this season.

Unbeaten in all competitions. Won four of the last five, conceding only twice in those games. Plenty still to improve on, but the narrative being pushed by certain columnists and commentators does not match reality.

[Anthony Jacobs @Ant1987]

Special shout out to João Gomes today. He's tenacious, in your face, always pressing, technically brilliant and has a pass on him. People were worried how we'd replace Tielemans. We didn't . We actually upgraded #avfc

Watching the #Spurs game for the second time, and I’m doubling down on my take: Trey Nyoni is a £100m player, and I genuinely believe he could transform Liverpool’s season.

His performance from Tuesday will probably feature in the thread as well. What a player. Absolutely phenomenal talent, with an incredible understanding of the pivot role #Nyoni

[Everton @Everton]

An unreal pass and a vital challenge seconds later. Tyler Dibling. 👏

[Patrick Boyland @Paddy_Boyland]

The pass is inspired but Moyes will love the recovery run & tackle. Got big round of applause on sidelines

[Joe Thomas @joe_thomas18]

A big night for Tyler Dibling. A night when his flashes of promise turned into a genuine, match-winning display

This was a big opportunity for him and the sense at Hill Dickinson, including from Alan Irvine, is he took it

Crazy to think £34m for Tarik Muharemovic already looks a bargain.

3 - Fulham have lost each of their first three games of a top-flight campaign for the just the third time (1951-52, 2020-21, 2026-27).

They have been relegated in each of the previous two campaigns when losing their opening three.

Stalled.

Iraola: "I think we want to risk (when we recover the ball), to look forward and find some spaces. If you wait and play a safety pass the spaces will not be there." (Sky)

[Paul Brown @PaulBrownEFC]

It’s nearly 24 hours late like but Mykolenko was brilliant yesterday

[Scott FFC Tanfield @scott_tanfield]

Have this feeling that we’ll get a lot of nice talking from Arbeloa, but will see little substance on the pitch.

Whilst I agree it was a terrible game from his team, Arbeloa still persisted in playing Palacios and Bobb for 70 odd mins, who offered absolutely nothing #ffc

[Brandon Yates @Brandon7Yates]

I thought Pascal was average at best and seeing Muharemovic has done nothing to change that thought process. He's leagues ahead.

[Gio 🔴 @ABIZZLY]

Gravenberch and Szobozlai I actually hate them. They are the sole reason Wirtz is struggling cos they can’t pass between the lines.

[AFCBaded🍒 @BigBfannn]

If Scott goes we need to buy a replacement but is it crazy to say i think Alex Toth could be the guy🤷‍♂️ #afcb

[🅰️ @MOTweets1919]

We’ve got an absolute fucking gem in Tarik Muharemovic. Look at the way the big fella is moving out there woweeeeeeeeeee

May 2025 vs August 2026

A wally.

[Adam Darnell @adz92darnell]

Must be nice for Palmer and Rodgers to just have their own space and not have their CMs standing on their toes
