Misleading post, though most of the calcs are good:
1. Cash pays 5%+, negating asymmetry argument
2. Long term yields are not very high historically
=> Buy some bonds now, keep some cash for the future if rates keep rising, inflation is the big unknown long-term!

@thriftycars I rented a car at Austin Airport last night. Car is not starting today. Spent half a day waiting for roadside assistance. Still not here. Can not get anyone from Thrifty on the phone at all. Worst rental experience I have had!

My Dell laptop has been in service 3 times in 7 months. Complete system failure two times. I asked for a replacement or refund. Instead they promis to fix it later. All together the laptop spent 1.5 months in service. Worst customer service ever. Never Dell again!
