This never gets old. Walking out of the polling station I find myself inexplicably moved. I grew up in a country where 80% of the population was not free to vote. I will never take this privilege for granted. #Vote ❤️⭐️💙
Good news! We need to preserve our great Alaskan wilderness and move forward, fast, with renewable energy and every alternative available.

In South Korea, they've covered this protected bike lane with solar panels - cyclists are protected from the sun, isolated from traffic, and it produces clean energy.
We have so many solutions. Implement them. #ActOnClimate#Climate#energy#renewables#GreenNewDeal
In the early 1990s, Brazilian photojournalist Sebastião Ribeiro Salgado was stationed in Rwanda to cover the genocide, an experience that left him traumatized.
In 1994, upon returning to his home in Minas Gerais, Brazil, Sebastião hoped to find solace in the lush green forest of his childhood. Instead, he discovered that his home had transformed into a dusty, barren land stretching for miles, devoid of any wildlife.
"The land was as sick as I was. Only about 0.5% of the land was covered in trees," he remarked.
At this time, his wife, Lélia Deluiz Wanick Salgado, proposed that they embark on the ambitious journey of replanting the entire forest. Sebastião supported the idea, and together, over the course of the next 20 years, they planted an astonishing 2.7 million trees.
Their efforts resulted in the rejuvenation of 1,500 acres of rainforest, and the site eventually became home to 293 plant species, 172 bird species, and 33 animal species, some of which were on the brink of extinction.
Last year, we @ProjectDrawdown were proud to help rally business support to pass the Inflation Reduction Act.
Today, we’re thrilled to join @ClimatePower and other partners to share the stories of the clean energy workers building our future, thanks to the IRA #MadebyUS🇺🇸
NASA only uses 15 digits of π for calculating interplanetary travel. At 40 digits, you could calculate the circumference of a circle the size of the visible universe with an accuracy that'd fall off by less than the diameter of a single hydrogen atom https://t.co/iXpDgL03r5
A common confusion is that to decarbonise, the world will need to produce the equivalent of coal, oil & gas in the form of low-carbon energy.
That's not true.
Most fossil energy gets wasted. In the US, just one-third gets turned into useful services. The rest is wasted as heat.
Best and by far the most charming #UXDesign and #InstructionalDesign I’ve seen in ages. Covers multiple learning styles, connects the dots, shows and tells, gives the user just what they need, with that ever elusive delight factor baked in. Bravo!
Husband asked 14yo to write down instructions on pet feeding for our son while we’re away. This is what she’s done. Cat & fish instructions to follow (dog is coming with us).
Thank YOU, my friend, for your tireless work to illuminate the urgency of the climate crisis and inspire people around the world to take action. #OurFragileMoment is the latest example of your remarkable work!
"France’s largest bank announced Thursday that it would no longer provide financing for the development of new oil and gas fields."
Woo hoo!! Vive La France! 🥳🇫🇷 https://t.co/oWoCd22aWz
@johncutlefish At a recent convention I stood up and pushed back against an Agile coach who was speaking of discovery as an impediment. The room applauded. My point is not to toot my horn but to point out that folks may be readier than one thinks to de-risk with research!
