Incident update: @PVDFireDept responded to a reported bedroom fire at 61 Vandewater St. at 6:42 p.m. Three persons (1 adult and 2 children) were transported for smoke inhalation. Fire is under control.
Incident update: @PVDFireDept responded to 194 Ives St. for a reported house fire at 5:04 this morning and extinguished a 1st-floor fire in a 2½ story home, bringing the fire under control in 26 minutes. One person was treated for smoke inhalation.

Today I'm proud to announce that we've added a brand new rescue with the most up-to-date technology and are hiring 16 new firefighters to join the force in the upcoming months.

These investments in the City not only strengthen our commitment to the safety and wellbeing of our community but will also equip firefighters with technology that protect our residents.
