@Acyn If ever Donald Trump were to be president again, we should want him sleeping as much as possible. Golf more. Sleep more. Watch more TV (Netflix, not the news). Delegate everything. Do nothing.
He can only hurt if he’s engaged.
@Betsycashmoney@tom_paints@TitoSmirnoff Well, for starters:
How Chicago chose to pay the $400M is their choice. It doesn’t make their obligation greater than the $400M.
The deal was Chicago would pay their share and the Bears would sign a thirty-year lease. The deal was not that the Bears would stay there forever.
@Betsycashmoney@tom_paints@TitoSmirnoff It’s accurate to call it revenue. You calling it misleading is misleading. Or rather, simply dishonest.
$400 million for a city with a $16 billion budget to secure the Bears for multiple decades is a bargain at twice the price.
@LoganLevkoff Is he criticizing Goldman for not endorsing Mamdani, when he, himself, ran against Mamdani? "Even when the alternative was Cuomo." Dude, you were one of the alternatives!
@bakeddozen@ONE_AMN I think the more annoying thing here is that Vitinha purposefully elbows the ball to his teammate while fouling Rice, and nothing is given.
@ca1nati0n@byelin The problem is, leftists' entire politics revolves around being morally superior. Platner undermines every preening impulse they have to signal their own virtue.
@floooooooffy@browniels@ZacB_MN It's a semantic difference, but an important one. AIPAC isn't a Super PAC. It's a PAC. A candidate can reject AIPAC contributions to their campaign, though AIPAC could still independently spend on the candidate's behalf.
