@mumblinglewis This looks awesome - Thank you! It’s shockingly bad that AE after all these years still doesn’t have a built in multi-colour gradient effect, or equivalent tonemapper (a simple linear one - not the insanity of Colorama!)
@wesstreeting Much though I respect the achievements of Wes, Labour got hammered at the local elections because they've failed to implement any Danish-style immigration reforms. The 'Island of Strangers' speech was only awkward because you could tell Starmer's heart wasn't in it.
@JeffBezos The power of competition. This is an incredibly exciting development and I look forward to seeing commercial heavy lift capability opening up in the next few years. All eyes on Starship next
@TimSweeneyEpic As an old school Amiga user, one of the distinguishing features of the Amiga was it could have more than 16 colours onscreen. Dpaint supported 32 colours (from a palette of 4096). Later versions supported more using the more exotic graphics modes of the Amiga (hslf-brite/HAM)
I’m weirdly excited by this, even though it literally looks like it was all made with AI. But it’s directed by the guy who did BUMBLEBEE, which was so much better than it had any right to be, so hoping it’ll be another peak translation of 80s nostalgia!!

75%+ of venues are looking at increases in their rateable value, some by 500%+
the government's signalled a potential u-turn... but nothing's confirmed yet.
so i built https://t.co/nSPT1YtVFX with official VOA data for 43,000 pubs, which looks at just how fucked they each are

@NC_Renic@gamecounsel It was done in a faux documentary style - with filmed news reports and talking heads. I can’t remember which channel showed it. Probably bbc2 or C4
@NC_Renic@gamecounsel My memory is hazy, but I think in the 90s there was a British made what-if documentary drama made called “Europe on the brink” about a US invasion of Greenland. I’ve never been able to find it since it was broadcast though :(
