@HHoneyBBadger Oh dear, I am so sorry to hear that Badger
At my work I don't work for AI, but it has become encouraged to use it for coding more efficiently. I refuse, though hearing every colleague agreeing and praising it is frustrating

what lurks in the shadows amongst the trees of The Boreal Woods & beneath the ice of Helheim? only time will tell~❄️
It feels arrogant and even like they may be stealing part of the other person’s efforts when they say that.
This is why I hate when someone says that sentence to me under improper circumstances, taking it as an insult. One could say "you should be proud of yourself" instead(4/4)
I'm gonna ramble a bit about something that I genuinely don't understand and would like to: why do some people say "I am proud of you" when they praise their friend?
It may feel wrong to me depending on the context (1/4)
2- they would have contributed to the other person’s accomplishment somehow - which is not necessarily the case. So they may be wrongly praising themselves for that contribution, instead of praising the one who did the accomplishment (3/4)
@BuriedFamMember I can relate, for many things. Which is why I never want to think about it. Especially the fact that nothing stays the same forever
There is at least one other 'simple' idea too, but I'd rather not talk about it
