I wore this patch proudly for the majority of my EMS career. I salute my brothers and sisters who are still out there doing the job, sometimes for salaries that are abhorrently low, and facing physical and mental abuse.
@Nurse53093502@HeyNurseKat Might have been a 60’s holdover, as we got it when we moved into the apartment in 1970. We always had fabric couches, hence the plastic on them. My mom finally got rid of that in the latex80’s, I think.
@Nurse53093502@HeyNurseKat Oh, boy yeah. In the small dining room in our apartment in the Bronx, we had gold wallpaper with a red velour-like print on it that gave you the feeling that you were sitting in a Chinese restaurant. We never had wood paneling. My mom hated that.
