This would be fine if it was a depth signing, but I’m pretty sure he’s currently our 2nd outside CB. Brad better make another move to address the CB position, because Vildor can’t be a starter on this defense next season if we want to accomplish our goals smh.

Lions are re-signing free-agent CB Kindle Vildor to a one-year deal, per source. He reunites with Deshea Townsend his former DB Coach in Chicago who’s now with the Lions.

Funny how news came out about the NFL being concerned about the amount of scoring and then they pass a rule that makes it infinitely harder to play defense for “player safety”. If they actually cared about player safety they would get rid of turf. What an absolute joke @NFL 😂

This is obscene. NFL made it impossible to tackle up high, taught players the “hip-drop tackle”, and now want to make it a 15 yarder? Refs are already incapable of calling the game now, this will only make it worse. Passing this will make tackling so difficult and ruin the game!

The NFL competition committee has proposed a new rule that would penalize a player with a 15-yard penalty and grant the opposition an automatic first down for using the hip-drop tackle to bring a runner to the ground.

This is the definition of a hip-drop tackle:
(a) grabs the runner with both hands or wraps the runner with both arms; and
(b) unweights himself by swiveling and dropping his hips and/or lower body, landing on and trapping the runner’s leg(s) at or below the knee.

NFL owners meet next week in Orlando.
