@lilianedwards Hi Lilian, I hope you're well. Just saw these This Never Happens fanzines come up on eBay and thought you might be interested in seeing them. All the best, Ben

We are also pleased to present a new zine collecting together most historic and most attractive of the price stickers that UK comic shops have used. Pocket-sized and with a new introductory essay by our very own Tom Oldham. Debuting at TB2024! https://t.co/d40b4KXptY
@Badumtis4 Incidentally, I reread World Without Grownups last night off the back of this and it reads a lot like an early draft of Crisis Times Five. Villainous genie, big role for Captain Marvel, springboard for a revamp of a defunct superteam, the works
So after trawling through a couple of years worth of all the DC Newsstand books listed on the GCD, I think I can fairly confidently guess (and it is still a guess) that JLA #2, 3 and 4 weren't sold outside the DM, and versions with a Newsstand barcode don't actually exist.
@Badumtis4 (DeZago was canned as writer of the ongoing before World Without Grown Ups even came out, and DC gave it to PAD instead. Morrison must have liked DeZago tho as they apparently co-created Inertia for his Impulse run the following year)
Finally, the winners of the 1976 Marvel UK Titanically Talented Art Contest. These entries beat out Grant Morrison, Glenn Fabry, Will Simpson, Nigel Kitching and Tony O'Donnell to win a crisp £50 each (about ten grand in today's money)
Spectacularly unlikely eBay find of the week - a photocopy (?) of Grant Morrison's runners-up prize-worthy entry to Marvel UK's Titanically Talented Art Contest from 1976
@FakeGlennMiller Newsstand JLAs seem to be (relatively) easy to find for sale on eBay, Mile High etc, apart from these 3 (#2, 3 and 4) for some reason. No listing on GCD or Mile High, no completed listings on Worthpoint, nothing. Couldn't even find a picture of them online. Weird!
@DenizCamp Heinrich Zemo's Wiki page has the Red Skull sending him to London to steal the experimental plane "when it became apparent that the Nazis would lose the war", then "believing that he had killed his rival... Zemo fled to South America as Hitler and the Nazis fell and WW II ended."
Weird find of the day - a lot of 26 bookplates signed by Richard Case and Grant Morrison for a "special first printing of Doom Patrol: Crawling From the Wreckage... limited to one hundred individually signed and numbered copies, seven of which comprise the vowel series" ??

A good time for my semi-annual plea to please get in touch if you're sitting on any Grant Morrison scripts - treats, cash and otherwise, gladly offered in exchange.
The DM's, as the kids say, are open
New arrival from eBay- a (bootleg?) Filth t-shirt featuring Dmitri-9.

8 pages of Grant Morrison's JLA/WildCATs script, from an eBay listing I didn't see in time to bid on 🙁. If you won it or know someone who did, please get in touch!
