Family first! Owner @TheRoninAgency. I build stuff with WordPress and Docker. Also into DevOps, bash and accessibility. ~ Lead by example. Love what you do.
This may be an unpopular opinion:
I never liked the name "Twitter".
Twitter may be more uniquely marketable or better suited for brand recognition but the name itself always sounded like a board game for children.
X is a modern, business friendly name. There, I said it.
@jkoussertari Sounds like you’ve found a good candidate for a custom Gutenberg block. If you remove the ACF dependency and make it a compatible integration instead, you might have a releasable product people need. Support for tabs, sliders and accordions are a notable gap in native blocks.
@patchstackapp I can’t overstate how much I would love to apply for this opportunity. It’s right in my wheelhouse and checks a dozen+ boxes on my personal goals checklist! Sorry to see the EEST timezone req. Being US based, that’s a bit of a wrench for me.
Reposted to help you all out! GL!

@thekevingeary I’d follow you for this post alone if I hadn’t already been following for WordPress and Etch content. Love seeing old school hiphop heads giving shoutouts. Busta has been at it lately too!
Here’s something I haven’t seen in a decade. This screenshot came in from a customer who was having issues with their web site today. And no, doctype was not missing.
Whew, my whole week has been in quirks mode!
Question for developers, engineers, ops or anyone else who works with version control daily:
How many repos do you manage, as an owner / administrator?
Drop your answers in the replies. Would love to compare notes!

@heyamberhinds@mr_chrishinds I suspect you are more likely to lose followers for posting sports than not.
That is by no means an admission that I often unfollow sports posts. Definitely not. 🙃
@TheCre8tiveDiva If a block doesn’t have those settings there is chance it was designed inherit from a parent block. I’ve had success in using a group block to define things like spacing and colors and then placing less versatile blocks inside that group.
It could certainly be more intuitive.
Would anyone be interested in testing my Advanced Woo Cart Icon block plugin later this week?
Looking for feedback and bugs first and then will give away free access to anyone who provides an honest review.
@JamesWelbes@KatieKeithBarn2@photomatt Believe me, I can totally see where that view stems from. It's hard to say "take it with a grain of salt" after so much salt. 😄
I'm still hopeful for the future of WordPress. That said, if it all goes sideways, I'm ready to pivot into lumberjacking.
I'm sure it's been said before but I want to give a huge shoutout and thank you to @michelleames for the Weekly WordPress Job Thread!
It's such a great idea and meaningful contribution to the WordPress community. Perfect use of social media. 💪

@DuaneStorey@KatieKeithBarn2 That’s absolutely fair and I certainly believe he’s on the losing end of the argument v. WPE. I don’t believe being wrong makes him a villian though.
The likelihood of him deliberately sabotaging a project he’s dedicated his life to seems unlikely. I’m still hopeful for WP.
