@somenmishra0@shaileshkapoor The other has a multi audience strategy. YT has a very strong yet wider focus. Also it’s not a Netflix type of formatted https://t.co/kF7lOoldKk’s more of a creator show. Audiences understand where to find what.
@somenmishra0@shaileshkapoor In the US YT has taken over from streaming. Totally different business models -
One is a tech platform empowering creators and other is a streaming paid platform. One pays creators and charges a minimal adfree model and the other is paid for platform. One has Gen Z all over it
The Eclipse of the Century is coming — August 2, 2027 On Monday, August 2, 2027, Earth will witness the longest total solar eclipse of the entire 21st century. At its peak, lucky observers will experience 6 minutes and 23 seconds of complete daytime darkness — an extraordinarily long stretch of totality. The Moon’s shadow will sweep from the Atlantic across southern Spain and Gibraltar, then race through North Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt) and into the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and parts of Somalia). The longest duration will occur near Luxor, Egypt, where the ancient temples and the Nile will be plunged into an otherworldly twilight. Why is this eclipse so special? The Moon will be near perigee (closest to Earth), appearing larger in the sky.
Earth will be near aphelion (farthest from the Sun), making the Sun appear slightly smaller.
Together, these factors allow the Moon to completely cover the Sun for longer than in almost any other eclipse this century.
During those precious minutes of totality, the Sun’s magnificent corona will blaze into view, bright stars and planets like Regulus (in Leo) may appear, and the temperature will drop noticeably. It’s a rare chance for scientists to study the Sun’s outer atmosphere — and for the rest of us to experience one of nature’s most awe-inspiring spectacles.Millions are expected to travel to the path of totality. If you can, make plans now — the next eclipse of this length on land won’t happen until 2114.A reminder that the universe still knows how to put on a show.
@anubhavsinha Never will I know much details of their struggle. They wanted it that way… @Shibasishsarkar dada the second half ooof breaks the heart into pieces yet somehow heals. #mainwaapisaaunga

Haunting, melodious, Deepali Sahay and her intonations. The sarod, “apni kahaani hai ye sunani” my god. Gurudevs you both and Imtiaz. God bless you all. What magic. You dont know what you do to our lives by creating this.
@arrahman@Irshad_Kamil Dear Gurus, what have you both done with “Dheere dheere” and “Tere Paas main” i just can’t stop. The latter is this charming, old world almost like a bhajan farewell ditty, the former is this passion play with tension. The notes foretell a story that…

The West Bengal Budget 2026–27 marks a decisive break from the Trinamool model of governance and lays the foundation for a developed, equitable and progressive Bengal.
With a historic outlay of ₹4,38,775 crore, the budget combines fiscal responsibility with an ambitious development agenda. The budget projects a reduction in key fiscal indicators, with the revenue deficit estimated at 1.02% of GSDP, the fiscal deficit at 2.91%, and the debt stock at 37.98% of GSDP. These projections signal a commitment to fiscal consolidation even as the government continues to manage an inherited debt burden of over ₹8.15 lakh crore.
More importantly, this is a budget focused on outcomes, not optics.
It prioritises the sectors that matter most for Bengal’s future: 35% for infrastructure development, 17% for education and skill development, 12% for health and wellness, 11% for agriculture and rural prosperity, and 10% for industry, MSMEs and employment generation.
The flagship allocations reflect this commitment:
🔹 ₹36,000 crore for Annapurna Yojana, empowering women and strengthening household incomes.
🔹 ₹14,000 crore for VB-GRAM G, creating employment opportunities in rural Bengal.
🔹 ₹13,000 crore for PMAY-G, enabling the construction of 25 lakh rural homes.
🔹 ₹11,000 crore for the Teesta Barrage Project, enhancing irrigation and agricultural productivity.
🔹 ₹10,000 crore through SASCI, leveraging capital support from the Centre.
🔹 ₹5,000 crore for the West Bengal Investment Promotion Framework, aimed at attracting investment and creating jobs.
🔹 ₹4,100 crore for the Lower Sundarban SHORE Project, strengthening resilience and regional development.
🔹 ₹3,100 crore for AB-PMJAY, ensuring universal health coverage.
🔹 ₹2,100 crore for PM-SHRI schools, investing in quality education.
🔹 ₹2,000 crore for the Bakreshwar Mega Floating Solar Project, advancing Bengal’s clean-energy future.
The contrast with the Trinamool years could not be sharper. Bengal suffered from policy drift, dwindling industrial confidence, poor infrastructure creation and a politics that prioritised slogans over solutions. Welfare became a substitute for development instead of complementing it.
This budget restores that balance. It recognises that social welfare and economic growth are not competing priorities. A truly progressive Sonar Bangla requires both, security for the vulnerable and opportunity for the aspirational.
The people of Bengal deserve not just bigger budgets but better outcomes. Roads built, industries established, investments attracted, jobs created, farmers empowered and lives transformed.
This budget is a marked improvement over the Trinamool regime and a significant step towards building the prosperous, confident and aspirational Bengal that its people deserve.
#WATCH | Kolkata: West Bengal Minister Agnimitra Paul says, "There are certain points which I would like to improve. First is the cleanliness of the market. The entire floor has to be changed... The drainage system is in shambles; the drains and pipes have to be cleared, renovated. The toilet is in very bad shape... toilets need to be done. Electric wiring is everywhere, hanging... I want it completely covered. I want shopkeepers to maintain their area... No encroachment will be tolerated... The fish market has a big ceiling that has some leakages... all tarpaulins will be removed... The fire service equipment needs to be checked. There has to be a different place for motorcycle and bicycle parking... I'll be coming after 15 days. The same system will follow in every market. We, the government of Suvendu Adhikari, are committed and accountable to the people of Bengal. So this will be followed in every market in Bengal."
