A powerful earthquake struck Venezuela, causing widespread damage and prompting urgent international humanitarian response.

Another Israeli nonprofit, NATAN Worldwide Disaster Relief, is deploying an emergency team of medical and social workers to earthquake-stricken Venezuela to establish mobile clinics. ZAKA, IsraAid, and Israel’s Foreign Ministry are also preparing aid and rescue missions as the humanitarian response expands.

Breaking: The @IDF now report that they have eliminated 2,500 Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon during Operation "Roaring Lion" (since February 28, 2026).

This is a vital statistic to understand the current situation. Recently, the Lebanese Ministry of Health claimed 3,300 deaths since the beginning of the operation, making headlines in major news outlets across the world.

Assuming this statistic is accurate, it would mean the wide majority of deaths in Lebanon during this operation have been Hezbollah terrorists.

This isn't just a statistic - it is a clear sign that the way the reality in Lebanon is being presented does not reflect reality. The IDF is operating with immense precision, and the truth needs to be put out.

The IDF assessments to count terrorists eliminated, i.e. BDA, uses a wide range of intelligence capabilities, including aerial surveillance, human intelligence, cellular conversations conducted by terrorists and other technological means in order to estimate the number of eliminated terrorists at any given point in time. It's also important to understand in war, there's no such thing as 100% accurate intelligence and that's why the use of a wide range of information sources, provided by different units in the IDF (IDI, Northern Command, and others), is so important.

With Lebanese and IDF (which most media source don’t include) reported numbers, the picture is a lot different than the inversions of reality we continue to see pushed in media and by international institutions. The IDF target terrorists while taking many effective measures to mitigate harm to civilians. That’s what the numbers show.

This day in history - Operation Solomon begins: Within just 36 hours on May 24-25, 1991, more than 14,300 Ethiopian Jews were covertly airlifted from Addis Ababa to Israel, saving them from civil war and famine

In 1991, Ethiopia had been embroiled in a decades-long civil war and was facing a famine. Rebel forces were advancing toward Addis Ababa and the Jews there, causing grave concern among Israeli and American-Jewish agencies on the ground in Ethiopia. Diplomats negotiated a deal with the Ethiopian government, and covert operations were arranged to enable evacuation at a moment’s notice.

After President George H.W. Bush sent a letter to the new Ethiopian President, Tesfaye Gebre Kidan, an agreement was reached on May 23, allowing Jews to leave Ethiopia all at once. Operation Solomon started the next day and a few days after the Operation was completed, Addis Ababa fell to the rebels.

In total, 35 aircraft were involved in Operation Solomon. One plane broke and holds the Guinness world record for the most passengers on an aircraft. All the seats had been removed, and at least 1,078 people were on board, including two babies born in-flight.

The Jewish Agency along with the Government of Israel were the main players in planning and executing Operation Solomon, working alongside and supported by organizations including the Israel Defense Forces, the American Joint Distribution Committee, the American Association for Ethiopian Jews, the Jewish Federations of North America (then UJA) and more.
