this is like flexing a high CTR on winning ads.
correlation =/= causation.
you can have ads with a high hook rate that convert well, and also the opposite.
you can also have ads with a low hook rate that still convert very well.
at the end of the day, hook rate alone doesn’t matter. what matters most is how well the hook aligns with the rest of the creative.
if you use a "clickbait" hook, you might get a great hook rate but no conversions. and if your hook is too "soft" the same thing happens, people won’t keep watching.
it's still a useful metric to track your account average and A/B test ideas, but don’t evaluate it in isolation.
