Back in Feb, had the burner and controller replaced as part of a recall on my @AOSmithHotWater water heater. Last week started hearing a weird, intermittent hum in the house. Finally nailed down the source: the burner in the hot water heater right after it ignites. Disappointing

@jonk @AirlineFlyer Yeah. Same. Not that I want to take oodles of PTO. But it is unlimited in concept only. The reason it doesn’t bug me much is that we have 2 partial week shutdowns, a sabbatical every 5 years, 2-3 weeks of PTO, plus, since pandemic, an extra fri off every month with no holidays.
