Not your average pick up and delivery service: DCLS' couriers distribute ~ 350,000 sample collection kits/year, pick up newborn screening samples from all VA birthing sites, & is available 24/7 to facilitate rapid response efforts when needed.
Neither snow nor rain not heat nor gloom of night keeps DCLS employees from their duties. DCLS staff & testing personnel have walked in the snow, carpooled in 4x4 trucks, left families in the night, & more to perform critical services that keep you safe and healthy. Thanks, DCLS!
Relax and take a breath, Virginia. Scientists at DCLS test the air quality from air samples collected from various locations in specially-coated vacuum canisters. Ahhh, one less thing to worry about.
DCLS employees may not be firefighters, law enforcement officers, or EMTs, but each staff member helps protect the public's health in one way or another. All DCLS staff are considered essential and have to report as needed, even after hours or during a holiday. Thank you, DCLS!
