Many Traditionalists, esp SSPX speak as though the Church tells practicing homosexuals, "What you're doing is right. Keep doing it." They speak as though the Church encourages transgenderism or approves same-sex relationships. They also act as though the Church now accepts abortion.
Everyone knows these are simply false.
The Catholic Church has never taught that homosexual acts are morally acceptable. It has never redefined marriage. It has never taught that gender transition is morally right. It has never accepted abortion and never will.
The Church continues to teach that marriage is between one man and one woman, that sexual activity outside that marriage is sinful, and that every human life is sacred from the moment of conception.
At some point, you have to ask whether SSPX apologists are being honest. Deep down, they know Vatican II never approved LGBT ideology. They know the Church has never accepted abortion. These are not hidden teachings - they are repeated by the Church constantly. Yet they continue to act as though welcoming sinners to hear the Gospel is the same as approving their sins.
Christ welcomed sinners so that they might repent. He ate with tax collectors and sinners - not because He approved of their sins, but because He came to call them to conversion. The Church follows that same mission. If someone identifies as LGBT, the Church invites that person to hear the Gospel and encounter Christ. That is not an endorsement of sin. It is an invitation to repentance.
The same applies to women priests. They know Vatican II never approved the ordination of women. The Catholic Church has repeatedly taught that it has no authority to ordain women to the priesthood. The fact that women clergy from other denominations may visit the Vatican changes absolutely nothing about Catholic doctrine. They know that facts yet they cry foul.
Then there is Communion in the hand. The Church has permitted this practice in many places through her lawful authority. Whether one receives on the tongue or in the hand, the Eucharist remains the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Christ. Personal preference is one thing; claiming the Church has invalidated the sacrament is another.
Finally, they say, "The Church is so open that it will not open itself to them." But the SSPX chose to place itself in an irregular relationship with the Church through acts of disobedience. The Church has repeatedly sought reconciliation. If the SSPX refuses submission to legitimate ecclesiastical authority, the responsibility for that separation does not lie with the Church.
At the end of the day, this isn't about defending Tradition. It's about refusing the authority Christ gave to His Church. When someone elevates his own judgment above that of the Church's lawful authority, he begins to resemble the very Protestant principle he claims to oppose.
Fuck the critics.
Fuck the noise.
Fuck the misogynistic Snyder Bros.
If I was James Gunn and this script crossed my desk, I’d make it too.
This movie is super, giiiirl.
On behalf of all men, I'd like to apologize to Milly Alcock for my gender being the absolute worst to her.
Sounds like you're super in this movie, girl. Can't wait.
