MARRIAGE SERIES: THE POWER OF CONFIDING IN EACH OTHER
Proverbs 31:18 (NKJV): “She perceives that her merchandise is good, and her lamp does not go out by night.”
The Scriptures liken a wife to the moon (Genesis 37:9-10). By this analogy, the Word reveals something profound about her function in a marriage.
The moon shines at night. It gives light in dark seasons and reflects illumination where natural sight may be limited. In our theme scripture, the virtuous woman’s lamp does not go out by night. This speaks of perception, wisdom, vigilance, and the ability to see even in moments when others may not see clearly.
God has given women a unique grace to perceive certain things that their male partners may not immediately see. A man may be fully convinced that a particular business deal will succeed, yet his wife may discern an angle he has ignored, an angle that could expose him to loss, shame, or unnecessary trouble. She may see a risk in a partnership, a weakness in a plan, or a danger in a decision that he has overlooked.
This is why it is important for a husband to confide in his wife regarding critical decisions.
It does not make you less of a man to share your plans with your wife. It does not weaken your leadership to ask for her thoughts concerning a business, investment, transaction, ministry decision, relocation, or family matter. She may see something you do not see. Many men have made expensive mistakes because they did not create room for honest communication with their wives.
However, on the part of the wife, this grace must never be used as an occasion for manipulation. The ability to perceive what a husband may not see is not a license to control him, arm-twist him, or force him into personal preferences. It is a position of submitted power.
In a home where this is understood, dreams thrive. Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: Genesis 2:18; Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for the gift of marriage. Thank You for a home where we listen to each other without pride or insecurity, and speak with honour and humility. Secrecy, manipulation, and poor communication are not part of our union. In my marriage, burdens are shared and Your purposes are fulfilled. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Unto the LAMB upon the throne, we raise a sound; for You are God and God alone. From every nation, tribe and tongue; we raise a sound. Hallelujah!

RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH
John 1:1 (NKJV): “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
The Bible records many voices: God’s, Satan’s, angels’, and men’s. Some people erroneously assume that everything recorded in Scripture is God Himself speaking.
Job’s story illustrates this clearly. In his grief, Job cried out, “The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away” (Job 1:21). These words came from a man overwhelmed by loss, not directly from the mouth of God.
Later, Job himself admitted that he had spoken of things he did not understand (Job 42:3). His grief was real, but his statement did not accurately reveal God’s nature.
Separately, Job’s friends offered opinions that misrepresented God. They claimed that Job’s suffering was punishment for sin, but God rebuked them, saying that they had not spoken rightly of Him (Job 42:7). Their words were not divine revelation; they were human reasoning.
This teaches us an important principle in interpreting Scripture: we should separate the opinions of men from the oracle of God. The true Word of God is revealed through divine counsel and is aligned with His nature. When we read the Bible, we must discern the voice speaking. Is this God’s voice, man’s opinion or the enemy?
Doctrine must be built on what God has revealed, not on the mistaken words of men or the lies of the enemy.
The believer who rightly divides the Word does not merely quote Scripture; he understands the spirit, context, and counsel behind what is written. Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY: 2 Timothy 2:15; Hebrews 1:1-3
PRAYER: Father of Truth, I thank You for Your Word. I discern Your voice from every other voice recorded in Scripture. Your Spirit guides me into all truth, so that my faith rests on Your unchanging nature, Your goodness, and Your divine counsel. By this understanding, I see and know You more. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Child of God,
You are a winner in this life!
The divine alignment of your character, location and your heart match the frequency of heaven’s opportunities and timings of the Spirit for your promotion. You are in the right place and at the right time.
You are a faithful and diligent worker, NOT negligent nor slack. As you hone your skills, sharpen your axe and master your craft, you are made ready for the grace that is to come to you. God appointed HIS GRACE — supernatural enablement for your preparation and progress.
Favour will speak for you. The windows of heaven will continually be open to you. Your faithfulness brings promotion and elevation; you have not honoured and obeyed God in vain.
God chose you. Do not disqualify yourself from any opportunity and possibility; your qualification is in Christ and He commended you to all that is good and perfect for life and for godliness.
You shall do BIG things and your Father in heaven will be glorified. Hallelujah!

I don't like the obsession Ugandans have with establishing entities that are the "largest, tallest, highest" or whatever. Just set up functional infrastructure.
The devil registers wins when marriages crumble, and you find another Christian married woman haharing commenting, it’s even worse if you are still single

Imagine telling a young doctor:
"We have a shortage of healthcare workers."
"We need more specialists."
"We need better healthcare outcomes."
"We need you to stay in Uganda."
"We need you to work long hours."
"We need you to take responsibility for patients."
"Oh, and we don't think your internship deserves an allowance."
At some point, even irony gets tired.🙌🙌
#PayAllMedicalInterns
I still remember the first day of my orientation as an intern doctor so vividly.
The interns coordinator told us these words: ‘AS AN INTERN DOCTOR, YOU GO FOR A SHORT CALL AT YOUR OWN RISK.’
Who can forget these words. Imagine the immense responsibility!
It haunted me. And truthfully, everytime I went for a short call, I would be praying that nothing happens to any patient in my short absentia.
See, if you’re going to put someone’s child, girlfriend, boyfriend, mother, father, husband, or wife under such immense pressure, you had better pay them!
Until recently, I always thought being a Medic was a flex. Not anymore after learning that an individual can work for upto 36 hours and more without taking a break.
I also learnt that, medical interns work on nearly 80% of the patients that throng public hospitals. Guys 80% 😳😳😳🙆♂️🙆♂️🙆♂️They do all the donkey work.
I also learnt that despite their efforts, they don’t get paid. Even the little they were promised, they never get to see it. Yet they’re still expected to show up. Drink water and move on foot to get the job done.
As a parent, I will beat every child who dares to tell me Mbu they want to be doctors in Uganda. 🙄🙄🙄🙄Are you stupid? You want to bring suffering to my family. Nonsense.
For starters Uganda’s doctor-to-patient ratio is approximately 1:25,000. This critical shortage means one doctor serves 25,000 people, which falls far below the World Health Organization's (WHO) recommended ratio of 1:1,000. And yet interns don’t matter to the government?
As Ugandans this should concern us because tell me how an unmotivated person can work on you and ensure you get the best medical treatment when they’re thinking of bills at home?
Isn’t this the reason why some medics end up asking for money from patients when actually it’s a free government facility? And I wouldn’t blame for doing that either because yoooo this government is rubbish.
We want to fatten the number of cabinet ministers, give MPs fat salaries, pay presidential advisors, increase number of RDCs and pay them heavily but can’t do the same for Critical medical interns? Thats total nonsense.
As a country we need to set our priorities right. Something is wrong.
My Daddy, Jehovah — Your baby is singing. I will be singing and dancing and shouting for the rest of eternity!

Let us be honest: the issue is not that medical interns are too many.
It is not that Uganda has no money.
It is that medical interns are not being treated as a priority.
Consider the choices being made:
• Parliament keeps growing.
Parliament’s budget reportedly doubled to about 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟭. 𝟮 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻. The money going to 529 MPs rose from about 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟰𝟬𝟬𝗯 in 2020/21 to 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟳𝟰𝟰.𝟰𝗯 in 2026/27, an increase of about 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟯𝟰𝟰.𝟰𝗯.
What direct return does this give the common Ugandan in a crowded hospital?
• Two offices alone tell the story.
The Speaker and Deputy Speaker offices had about 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟳.𝟭𝗯 combined in 2020/21. In 2026/27, they stand at about 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟱𝟬.𝟮𝗯 , an increase of about 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟰𝟯.𝟭𝗯 for only two offices.
That increase alone can pay 𝟯𝟬𝟬𝟬 interns 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟭𝗺 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿, with money left.
• Questionable spending continues.
In 2025/26, selected Speaker’s office lines reportedly included 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟮.𝟰𝗯 for foreign travel, 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟵𝟲𝟲𝗺 for fuel, 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟰.𝟴𝗯 for incapacity, death benefits and funeral expenses, and 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟱.𝟮𝗯 for donations. Total: about 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟭𝟰.𝟮𝗯. What lasting public health return does this produce compared with doctors on wards?
• RDC structures are being funded.
Uganda reportedly has 146 RDCs, 170 Deputy RDCs and 432 Assistant RDCs, total 748 officials. Their proposed salary enhancement requires an extra 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟮𝟵.𝟬𝟳𝟵𝗯 every year.
Add the reported 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟯𝟬𝗯 for LC I to LC V political leader facilitation, and that is about 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟱𝟵𝗯. In what way does this benefit the common Ugandan?
• Donations are funded.
State House donations reportedly consumed 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟳𝟱𝟭𝗯 over seven financial years. In 2023/24 alone, donations were budgeted at 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟭𝟴.𝟭𝗯, but actual spending reached 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟴𝟬.𝟭𝟴𝗯. If tens and hundreds of billions can be found for donations, how does 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟮𝗯 to 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟯𝟲𝗯 for over 2,000 medical interns become impossible?
• Health was not protected with the same urgency.
The Ministry of Health vote fell from about 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟭. 𝟲𝟵𝟯 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 in FY2023/24 to about 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟭. 𝟯𝟰𝟰 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 in FY2024/25, a reduction of about 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟯𝟰𝟵𝗯. Even the 2025/26 estimate of 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟭.𝟱𝟲𝟰 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 remains below the 2023/24 level. Yet health is the sector that directly touches mothers in labour, accident victims, children with malaria, emergency patients and families in public hospitals.
Now compare:
• 2,000 interns × Shs1m × 12 months = 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟮𝟰𝗯 per year
• 2,500 interns × Shs1m × 12 months = 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟯𝟬𝗯 per year
• 3,000 interns × Shs1m × 12 months = 𝗦𝗵𝘀 𝟯𝟲𝗯 per year
Even using the Ministry of Health’s own gross figure of Shs15.6m per intern per year, the reported 2,706 eligible interns would require about Shs42.2b. That is still small compared with what is being found for political comfort and administrative expansion.
That money is not a handout.
✨ It avails doctors on wards.
✨ It keeps emergency units covered.
✨ It supports maternity care.
✨ It fills staffing gaps in regional referrals.
✨ It protects patients.
So let us stop pretending.
This is not a numbers problem.
This is not a money problem.
It is a priority problem.
Medical interns are doctors under apprenticeship, not free labour!
