The Sauer Castle is a 19th century Italian villa style mansion built in 1872. There are numerous tales of the building being haunted, with unsolved cases, secret tunnels, & even buried treasure. It can only be viewed from the street, beyond a high fence.

This building in @DowntownOP originally served as a carbarn where trolley cars were maintained. William Strang founded the Interurban Railway which connected KC, OP, and Olathe. Today, the structure at 79th & Santa Fe Dr. is home to Traditions Furniture.
