Well, it’s now official.
Liberal and NDP MPs conspired in a closed-door meeting to push the fixed election day back a week from October 20 to October 27 (2025) so 28 of their MPs would qualify for their lifelong, taxpayer-supported MP pensions.
Then they lied about it. Claiming it was to avoid the celebration of Diwali.
This will cost taxpayers (AKA YOU) $4.7 million/year.
It’s because of garbage like this that people hate politics and don’t trust politicians.
