What caught my attention on day 1 wasn't the chart. It was the follows.

- @cobie (aka Jordan Fish he's a crypto investor, entrepreneur who was appointed to lead the @baseapp
- @ShanAggarwal (Coinbase's CBO)
- @davidtsocy (handles ecosystem growth and ventures at @base )

Those three don't follow much of anything, and they're all on this account. Base App's official account followed them and has been engaging since day one too. Not one measly like, but consistent engagement almost daily.

Could mean nothing. I've talked myself into worse. But you notice when the same names keep showing up.

Then there's the obvious thing nobody says out loud. @base hasn't had a real meme runner since base:0x532f27101965dd16442e59d40670faf5ebb142e4 and toshi:native That was years ago. The chain has exploded since then, there's a consumer app pulling normies onchain by the thousands, and the meme layer just never caught up. Enormous distribution, no flagship. That gap has been sitting open for a year but now finally something has walked through it...

Two things happened today: @HoudiniSwap confirmed their listing base:0xb2000000000000000000004c27f6523082f41d01 on their DEX today. And an hour ago @jessepollak reposted a screenshot of him buying the token. Go look at his replies.

Look, you can chase KOL calls in the Solana casino and copy whales on GMGN or FOMO and rotate every two days. People make money doing that, I'm not knocking it.

Or you find THE meme that becomes a chain's identity and you just sit there while everyone else rotates.
