Hello to new followers! Salam kenal, saya tadinya psikolog, skrg kerja jd designer/researcher. Suka ngetwit soal kerjaan, navigating work/life, psychology, kucing, dll.
I've never created a structured "thread" but here are some tweets to get to know me better:
BREAKING; Indonesia’s Attorney General has charged Ibam with 15 years in prison and IDR16.5b in fines.
Let’s be clear, there is no crime. This is a political witch-hunt by dark forces who didn’t like changes in the education ministry.
Indonesia’s legal system is broken.
Verdict in two weeks.
Ngga lama, Ibam dikontak recruiter Facebook. Mereka cari lead untuk tech team di London.
Setelah 2x ke London untuk wawancara, Ibam lolos seleksi dan dapat offer:
- Gaji Rp192 juta/bulan
- Bonus tahunan Rp346 juta
- Saham Rp3,8 miliar
- Relokasi sekeluarga ke Inggris Raya 🇬🇧
Can NYC please stop imitating Alaska? I’m beginning to get exhausted with the snow that’s more of an ugly slushie now and feeling like shit all the time 😭
I don’t usually endorse romanticizing living anywhere but a lot of these are aligned with my experience abt NYC. Esp the part where you have to make hard decisions and you get to practice discernment in deciding what are the most important things for you.
Ecstatic to report that not a single family member/relative talked about how I look “skinny”/ “fat” and therefore need to eat more / less, OR how I should find a new partner soon
Granted I met only a few people from 1 family and they are all pretty cool. But a win is a win.
Visit JKT cuma seminggu langsung radang tenggorokan batuk dan rada bengek gak berenti-berenti woy sampe minta antibiotik saking tenggorokan sakit bgt 🙃
Padahal selama ini gak pernah sakit, paling gak enak badan aja yg kayak diistirahatkan 1-2 hari udah beres 🥲
Last week, a founder asked me to compare the Indonesia vs San Francisco startup ecosystem.
My answer:
"Indonesia is more elitist than America.”
“People in SF value meritocracy. Opportunity flows to those who are competent. You can move to SF as a complete nobody, raise $5M in a weekend, and become the next Steve Jobs."
“Indonesia is the opposite. Opportunity flows to those with the right connections. You're judged based on your last name and who you know."
"Until this culture changes, we will always lag behind."
@bhargawabayu Kl yg spesifik terkait relational design di SEA/Indo belum nemu. Tp ada buku-nga Erin Meyer judulnya “The Culture Map”
Trs ada bbrp scholars yg practice nya seputar itu:
- Pablo Escobar: Design of The Multiverse
- Cameron Tonkinwise
Dan cari aja soal Relational Design
Ngetwit refleksi soal design sedikit ya. Udah lama enggak hehe:

Mau minta rekomendasi utk pusat2 kegiatan kultural yg baru2 utk dikunjungi dong!
(Baru = berdiri/dibuka sejak 2024, krn ku terakhir pulang Juli 2023).
