After what I considered to be a fairly deft avoidance of a slip on the cobbles near work. I've since learned, through discourse with my back, that the corrective movement was unacceptable.
If I could do it again I'd lean into the fall, cave my head in and spare myself the grief.
I decided today that I liked olives enough to buy a little pack of them in M&S with my lunch. Ate them all like it was the most casual thing in the world, like I'd been doing it for years. Is this dementia?
I thought I'd give you a quick life update: For crisps it's Roast Beef Monster Munch - I don't see that changing. I'm still in the Salted Caramel Twix era. 7up is still king, but for a softer alternative I'm getting really into apple juice. I think that covers the key points.
My whole life I'd never had Gatorade and in the last month I've tried 3 different flavours. They all taste a bit like food colouring in water. I thought I could discern a hint of citrus from the yellow one but in hindsight I think that was largely based on a preconception.
I went out for drinks with work and I tell you solemnly: you cannot go from 4 years of not drinking, straight into a night of drinking. I'm sitting in my garden on the absolute precipice. I can't remember how I got home. I must've got a cab but that whole memory is gone.
I've been on the train for 8 hours over the last three days. People just can't sit still for 5 mins, it's crazy. If everyone just sat quietly and closed their eyes, we'd all get some sleep. And if it's not clicked yet, that's extra sleep on top of your normal sleep. For free. Ffs
The Wolves are playing the Thunder tonight, it's really important that I don't watch it live because if they lose it will be my fault. And partly because it's on at 2:30am and I am far too old for that dumb shit.
I changed the wallpaper on my phone. You should try it, especially if you haven't for a while . It's been like a little squirt of febreeze on my brain.
This is doing my head in. Are the Maldives pronounced: Mald(eve)s or Mald(eye)vs? I always thought it was the former... But I've been watching so many shite American netflix documentaries and they say the latter with such confidence it's making me doubt myself.
Like even if you don't care for the setting or whatever. Even if you just want to show your mates or your family what you do when they think you're just pulling your willy. Visually, that game would impress them.
Right so I finally played Horizon Zero Dawn, so yeah you can get off my case about that. Fair enough it was good. I get it. But it did not prepare me for Horizon Forbidden West, which incidentally is fucking insane. I've not seen anything like it in my 100 years of gaming.
