To my surprise my "Worn Contours" photo was chosen as runner up in the Abstracts category of @natlandawards 2022 awards. I am extremely honored to be included in such an exquisite collection. Congrats to all the winners! I highly recommend you check out the contest results.
First Light, Little Five Lakes
This seemed like a fitting image to break my content drought. You can read more about the image, as well as a personal update on my website here: https://t.co/zIQdJfXoGL
Adorned
This past winter I was on a trip to the desert where we had a serendipitous moment. The sandstone was adorned with a whitish-blue coating—like someone had brushed on blue sidewalk chalk throughout the region.

Aspens in Morning Reflected Light
Last week I got to spend a morning in one of my favorite canyons in the Eastern Sierra. Still haven't seen it in peak fall colors, but it was still beautiful in the cool morning light.
Pensive
I have been sitting with this piece for almost a year. I found it on one of the black sand beaches in Maui. I'll leave the details at that so your imagination can run wild with this piece. Enjoy!
A week ago we did a trip to some more autumn-like weather in the Eastern Sierra to celebrate my birthday. Also to show Kim one of my favorite places in all its glory, and it definitely delivered. Some places had peak colors, but we also enjoyed the mottled scenes like this one.
A quick personal update of what I have been up to for the last seven months. I got married! You can read more about the new season in life on my blog.

Changing Seasons
It's that wonderful time of year again. Autumn is here! I know I haven't been on social media much of late because I too have been changing into a new season of my life. Life has been quite full, all for good reasons. But I'll have updates soon. Stay tuned!
@rwongphoto I feel like I grew up there celebrating many a Thanksgiving at Stovepipe Wells so I’m a bit biased. The views and diversity can be quite surprising to newcomers. But do the research before you check it out.
@rwongphoto I’d say check it out at least once. Just know that it’s not an easy drive from the Bay Area in winter or spring seasons. I know my family In Sacramento has had to change their routes many times due to weather and closed passes.
This week I was glad to see this beautiful book in the mail from @natlandawards . Again, I am incredibly honored to have been included in such an awe-inspiring collection of work. If you want to see the collection for yourself you can buy the book on their website.
Clouds Over the Santa Monica Mountains
Another photo from my hike last weekend with my brothers. This is by the greenest I have seen these hills since the Woolsey fire in 2018 which burned 85% of the park land.
