During my days @UTArlington I randomly signed up for a polysci class taught by Dr. Saxe not knowing who he was. I was surprised to walk into a full auditorium and wondered why so many people were in this class. I learned on day one the attraction to learn from this great guy.

Today, Arlington Mayor Jim Ross honored Allan Saxe by proclaiming August 18, Allan Saxe Day!

Saxe is a beloved former professor who taught political science from 1965 through 2019 at UTA.

Late in posting but a celebratory post of my daughter’s college graduation. Thanks to her high school running start program she was able to knock out her Associates degree in one year.

WE DID IT!!! After starting our family quest in 2007 to visit every state, we made it to Michigan and #50 this summer. My kids never once in 16 years said: “Are we there, yet?” but if they did I would finally be able to say “YES!” #50stateschallenge #missionaccomplished
