@campbellclaret You are hardly one to talk. Unlike you he does not have the blood of millions on his hands. You are all but a war criminal, the liar in chief for the second gulf war. Please slope off into obscurity.
Vote Restore. Burnham or Starmer.... who cares. One more Reform MP will make ono difference. Vote for the candidate you want to see in power. Tactical voting is pointless. Splitting votes makes no real difference except to the fortunes of Reform and Restore. If you want Restore to grow then you need to send your support now!
The political spectrum is no longer a bar I think it is now more a triangle. It worked as a bar when just economics approach divided opinion. When free market capitalism and private ownership sat on the right and centralised economies and wealth redistribution sat on the left. The big change has come at the centre. Third way Liberalism, especially the Germanic top down version adopted by the EU, looks an awful lot like a form of fascism to me. They are not sensible centrists as we used to think of them with moderate views. Liberals now practice a weird form of extremism. In this context left and right lose a lot of their meaning. The shift of the overton window has also made it confusing with many (like me) who were centrists in their worldview in 1997 but who now seem to be radical right wingers in 2020s, as the goal posts were moved. Many on the modern right, still hold what would be seen as leftist or centre left views on some aspects of life and commerce. Many in the centre are now arrogant elitists who want to impose their views forcefully on others. The left has moved further left and will continue to go more and more towards Marxism. It is a mess.
The left wins when the right is splintered. The centrists want to divide and conquer, and this will drive many normies to Reform. That said, Restore needs to stick to its core principles and the people who got it where it is. There are many good people coming over from Advance, but they need to get in line and not expect to have overweight influence on Restore from the get go. It seems there are also some toxic civnat big beasts who perhaps are a better fit with Reform. It is essential that the "nativism" or ethnat nature of Restore prevails. Being English or British is not a vibe, it is an ethnicity. One that the liberal state has deeply abused and disrespected. The time for a viable civnat compromise died with the Boriswave and decades of DEI and two tier discrimination against ethnic Brits. Many in Advance understand that, those that don't should go elsewhere.
I think there are/were a lot of good people in Advance. I suspect the problem with merging the two parties comes from their being a lack of enough decent roles to go around. The top team at Advance came up with some very sound policies and their college was an interesting idea. These people will expect to have similar roles in Restore and might be a bit unsettled if they feel marginalised. Restore also has a top team who have worked hard to build their party and done a fantastic job to date. The problem lies in who at Restore would have to give way to make room for those coming from Advance? Mergers in business have the same sort of issues. Cliques can form. Expectations cannot always be met. Tons of good people in Advance who can really help the cause, but expectations need to be managed, focus needs to remain on saving the country and avoiding egos getting in the way -- not to say that they have. There are also some important ideological differences between the two groups. Advance leans into being more civnat and Restore is more firmly ethnat. That is a pinch point between the two.
Starship Trooper vibes.
TBF, I think the franchise does need to be restricted to ethnic British only (those who can trace ancestry at least as far back as 1946). If only to put an end to the leftist tactic of importing infinite benefits scroungers in the hopes they will always vote left.
@Jake_Ventham This is one of those games where the best answer is not to play at all. Not our problem, let's not allow either side to drag us into their forever war.
@firasmodad If a cohabiting couple want the protections marriage brings they can formalise their union by....getting married. No need to change any laws here.
@SkyNews "First duty." The country has not felt more unsafe since 1941. The abject failure by this new world order globalist clown has put us all in harm's way.
Bull tosh. You excluded one of the three front runners. You're aim was to influence an election and avoid a political party hostile to the TV licence fee gaining support. You are funded by the general public, it is totally immoral for you to take a side in an election. The BBC's left leaning bias is a threat to democracy, especially when it has become so overt as this. The time of reckoning for you is looming, no more public funds. Let lefties and theater kids fund your garbage and leave the rest of us out.
Not that I want to defend anyone exploiting unrest for fame and fortune, but doesn't recording these events help to inspire others to resist? The main stream media do not report or report very dishonestly on the rare occasions they do mention it. How else do you spread the word? Police probably have their own recordings and drones. Is the damage done by auditors outweighed by getting out better news of resistance? What practical advice could be given to these auditors/vtubers to help mitigate the damage they might do?
@NadineDorries Post
"not very bright" coming from the ineptard who rolled out the Online Safety Act and then declared less than a year later that it needs to be repealed.
