I was asked why a fire truck responds with an ambulance in Dudley. This picture shows the basic equipment used on a cardiac arrest. Monitor/defibrillator, medication box, cpr machine, medic equipment bag, alot for 2 members to manage in addition to patient care.
Mutual aid among fire departments has come up a lot recently in Dudley, where the town is dealing with a staffing shortage due to budget cuts. Other fire departments are helping respond to their calls. https://t.co/16r1frtc5k
Dudley Fire was requested mutual aid to Charlton for a structure fire and had to decline due to staffing. However, Dudley has had two fires this week and required mutual aid to put out those fires. When is it no longer mutual and just abusing other towns. Absolutely ridiculous.
@TheMole14 Yea, I definitely wouldn't want a decent ambulance for my family. ID be cool with a 20 year old pos that was replaced. It'll be fine, it's all good. Keep living in a little house on the prairie life.
@TheMole14 I'm sure you'd be cool with lowering your paycheck and still having bills. The school demanded a 17 percent increase. To the tune of almost 2 million in just increases, for just Dudleys contribution, let alone Charlton. You can't figure this out?
@TheMole14 I'd take a look in the mirror. Your just proving my point. Property evaluation did go up, yet the tax rate was lowered. Do your homework and look at the evaluations versus tax rates over the last ten years atleast. What town lowers tax rates.
@TheMole14 Who said anything about being a money maker. Public safety has nothing to due with making money. It's about providing a service. The pandemic has nothing to do with anything. Thats last years run totals. You need to get informed.
@TheMole14 Yea, because that's the reason. Could it possibly be a joke of a tax rate and the school department asking or should I say demanding just shy of a 2 million budget increase?
