Mahjabeen is waiting for our voice. If we do not speak up for her today, there may be no one left to speak up for our sisters tomorrow.

My latest story for Dawn!
The nets are full of hope but never fish.
The sea that once sustained generations is now stripped by deep-sea trawlers, leaving Gwadar’s fishermen adrift and uncertain.

Save Balochistan’s Educational Institutions from Military Influence
A well-thought-out plan to militarize educational institutions in Balochistan is still underway. This campaign began with Bolan Medical College, then extended to Balochistan University, and now the University of Turbat and LUAWMS (Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences) in Uthal have become the new targets. The administration, with questionable backgrounds, is actively implementing this policy. The ultimate goal appears to be turning educational institutions into military outposts, making it increasingly difficult for Baloch students to access an independent and free academic environment.
Baloch students must recognize the gravity of the situation and collectively resist these policies. If such elements continue to succeed in their agenda, the day is not far when Baloch students will have no place left in these institutions.
