@james98170@Tom_Rowsell -To justify third world "multi-culturalism" which btw does not exist in Sweden. We live very segregated. Migrants do not want to become swedish and we do not want to become africa/arabic.
@james98170@Tom_Rowsell British culture was very similar (to some extents identical). Swedish vikings literally founded Russia. Christianity was forced (mostly elite who adopted it willingly or were bribed). But you are missing the point. Its about their propaganda "Sweden was always multi-cultural"-
@AlpineLingual@Thorium03584777@LambentLucien It is bordering atrocities (literally the same people, same religion, but slightly different tribe next to them) and the same Empire then got into war with the danes. But like i said, my point was never that they were not violent against others. But all Scandinavian countries-
@AlpineLingual@Thorium03584777@LambentLucien - had vast amounts of violence involved concerning the conversions. Unfortunately like i said this is not taught to us at all in school and it seems to be common belief also that it just happen peacefully over time. I can give you tons of examples.
@AlpineLingual@Thorium03584777@LambentLucien My point was not that danes were not violent, not sure why you are bringing it up. My point is that they did not convert peacefully (as unfortunately us scandis are taught in school). As for "They'd never torment neighbours without provocation". How about the Massacre of Verden?
@lowengrip För att kvinnor som blir förslavade till ett företag (som egentligen inte bryr sig om dem) bort från sina barn, är ett så mycket bättre romantiserat ideal eller hur?🤣
@Thorium03584777@LambentLucien Not like there were multiple wars and continuous border conflicts between pagan Denmark and Northern Germany before Denmark converted to Christianity in the mid-10th century. (Geopolitical threats specifically when Denmark was losing agaisnt them also).
@Tom_Rowsell Considering my ginger grandmother from rural south western Sweden . I suspect some ancestry from the British isles. Either from thralls or possible marriage under Danelaw.
@KingsOfTheEarth@mjolnerwolf Everything ancient is not in origin from the jews or canaanites just because the Bible is. Things they have picked up and happen to have similar to others later in time. They have likely picked up themselves from more ancient sources.
@KingsOfTheEarth@mjolnerwolf We have sun crosses (which we also see in Scandinavia and other places in pre-christian Europe) and runes in places such as Siberia for an example which predate the Phoenicians by thousands of years.
