Income Tax Raid on 3 Hotels Using 'Petpuja' Software for Tax Evasion

Indore : #Incometax officials raided three prominent hotels in Indore for tax evasion, uncovering the use of customized 'Petpuja' software to manipulate data.

During the raid, laptops and items were found hidden at operators' homes. The software, an all-in-one restaurant management tool (POS), handles billing, inventory, online orders, customer data, reporting, and payroll.

It connects departments but has features that can hide data for tax evasion.

Operators of the international chain 'Petpuja' allegedly used it to conceal financial irregularities. The probe is expanding to check if similar software is used in other restaurants. A recent January raid on a major city restaurant revealed similar practices. Income tax teams recovered hidden devices and are investigating further.
