I don't really understand everyone's gripe with the Ultimate Edition of GTA VI.
It's similar to every other Ultimate Edition out there, but they're making it more immersive by stocking the cosmetics in in-game stores.
The sheer amount of content included in a 20$ upgrade if anything just shows how much content will already be in the base game.

You weren't promised that content in the base game. They did the same thing for RDR 2. Locking missions, special shops and cosmetics behind a special edition adds incentive to buy the special edition.

The content wasn't removed because the game never promised you that you would have it. It is added at the price of the Ultimate Edition.

Its not like they took out dressing up, stylizing your character, getting a tattoo or modding your car, they just added some special shops for the Ultimate Edition.

My take on Rockstar locking a few stores/some customisation behind the Ultimate Edition is a bit complicated.

First of all, the idea of doing this is nothing new. They did the exact same thing with RDR2, where an entire bank robbery mission was locked behind the Ultimate Edition. It’s still not great, but it’s not this new prospect that’ll doom the industry.

As for the VOLUME of content that’s locked, I think that it’s more of a testament to how much is in the base game. If they’re putting this much into the Ultimate Edition bonuses then it’s clear that the standard edition is packed too.

Seems like there's a misunderstanding going on that you cannot actually use any of these features without paying $100, this is false.

Ultimate Edition simply features extra shops that sell exclusive items, entirely separate from the presumeably hundreds of items available in the base game.

I’m a 3D Vehicle artist and have been modding GTA 5 vehicles for over 10 years now.

Here’s some of the major upgrades from GTA 5 to GTA 6 cars:

1. Returning models now have 3D panel gaps, instead of a 2D seam that has fake painted ambient occlusion. Some suspected GTA 6 backports have featured these 3D seams in recent GTA Online DLC.
