These were the days when we were still paying subsidies and the economy was still doing relatively well. All these emergency lovers of Nigeria were still small kids who depended on their parents for everything. If $1 were ₦1 today, people who can’t afford three square meals a day still wouldn’t necessarily be able to afford them, and those who can’t pay their rent wouldn’t suddenly be able to. I pray we all make it, but poverty can never be completely eradicated.
Tinubu and Buhari did your youthful age bashubashu 😂
Ah b this one too na AI generated video/ clip???
This is 1994 oh but let me even tell you 🇳🇬 had failed to develop over 40 years!
But you're very quick to accuse, discredt 1 person because of your own preferred candidate.
Senator Abdulaziz Yari still holds strong ground in the North and everyone who follows politics there without pretending knows it. President Tinubu did not pick him by accident or to fill a quota. He picked him because he needed someone who can actually deliver the region instead of just visiting it. Yari has that ability because he has the networks, the history, and the personal standing that others simply do not have. Northern leaders have looked at the Renewed Hope Agenda with clear eyes and they have chosen to stand behind it. They also believe power should stay in the South because that is the fair arrangement for now after the last rotation. The opposition is pouring resources into a contest that the North has already settled in its mind and in its private meetings. They can keep pouring but the ground is not shifting in their favour.
Amount spent subsidising the dollar under:
Obasanjo: $60B
Yar’Adua: $58B
GEJ: $125B
Buhari: $145B
Tinubu: $0
Omo, Nigeria spent $388B in 24 years subsidising the dollar until Tinubu stopped it.
Imagine the infrastructure $388B could have built for us 🙆
Thank you, PBAT 🙏🏽

5 reasons why President Tinubu is currently the favourite to win re-election in 2027
1. Fragmented Opposition - Atiku and Obi are running separately again. Just like 2023.
When the anti-incumbent votes split three ways, the candidate with the biggest single bloc wins, even with a low percentage. This is history repeating itself!
2. BAT’s Superior Political Machinery
APC controls the presidency, National Assembly, and about 31 states.
In Nigerian elections, organisation, state governors, and grassroots structures still matter more than pure popularity.
Tinubu has a formidable machine. The opposition doesn’t (yet). He is built to operate like he is the opposition.
3. Reforms Are Starting to Show Results
Inflation is cooling. Reserves are up. Local refining has expanded significantly. Credit rating improved. Capital inflows are rising. Investor confidence is returning.
The pain was real. But the macroeconomic foundation is stronger than it was in 2023. Continuity is a powerful argument than a New Nigeria is possible or other slogans.
4. Visible Infrastructure
Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway. Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway. Thousands of kilometres of roads under construction.
Voters can see something physical happening and feel its tangible benefits. That still counts in Nigerian politics.
5. The “Finish What You Started” Factor
Nigerians have historically given first-term presidents a second chance to complete their agenda, especially when the opposition is divided and the incumbent controls the structure of power.
That’s the current reality.
Does this mean Tinubu has already won? No. Elections will have to hold.
Public disaffection over cost of living and insecurity is still high.
But as of today, the structural advantages are clearly on his side.
Does the opposition have any runway left to close ranks, if they want to change this equation? I highly doubt it.
Let’s have a constructive conversation. Please share your thoughts ?
