I saw a post talking about women not having high libido after childbirth and I have seen a lot of replies.
Here is my experience with low libido with my wife after our second child. I think men can learn one or two.
After our second child, my wife started taking family planning pills. She took a pill everyday to avoid pregnancy. Everything was fine until I discovered that I was the only one initiating sex. I didn’t think much of it until it began to annoy me.
I want to feel desired also and wanted. Not only to get it just because I want it. “You too, don’t you want me?”
If I didn’t initiate, we could go weeks without any action. My wife said she didn’t feel anything or get aroused. This went on for years and I began to resent her. Thinking she didn’t love me anymore.
One day I asked her to stop taking the pills so I can observe something. Brooooo, her libido rushed back in with full force that we went almost everyday for 2 weeks. Na me come de run. I no fit cum and go 😆.
That was when I realized that the family planning pill was the cause of it. I have told her to discard it while we look for alternatives that wouldn’t have this kind of side effect.
So, if your wife is facing something like this, don’t leave her to figure it out. Work with her to find the cause and solve it.
She is in the Autonomy vs. Shame and Doubt stage of Erik Erikson, where children begin to develop independence by copying what they observe. She understands that she needs to bathe, but she hasn’t yet learned the correct way to do it.
At this stage, children either build confidence in their abilities or begin to doubt themselves, depending on the support they receive.

Seeing his desk today is haunting. His pen is still there. His notebook is still open to yesterday’s to-do list. He had plans for today. He thought he had time.
To see HR treat his life like a "timing issue" for a meeting is a level of coldness I can’t describe. They didn't lose a friend; they just lost a "user ID" on their system.🙌
A coworker died yesterday morning😭.
HR knew by 9 :00 AM, but they kept us working all day. They finally told us around 4 :30 PM, then had the nerve to say, "You can head home early if you need to"—knowing we all finish at 5: 00 PM anyway.
This morning, it’s back to "business as usual." Some of my friends are literally sobbing at their desks, but they’re expected to work and be productive. No time to grieve.
It’s a cold reality. Within a week, the company will have his job posted online. Within a month, someone else will be sitting in his chair.
But his family ,his children will still talk about him every day, they will ask where is daddy , His wife will mourn him for ages ,he was the love of her life .
At work, we are just a "resource" that can be replaced in a week. At home, we are the world. Stop giving your best energy to a desk that will forget you, and giving the "leftovers" to the people who never will.
I totally recommend this podcast.
If you are married, engaged, courting, single, in a situationship or in a confusionship. As long as you want to have children, you should listen too.
