The first few student projects are coming in! Grade 7 students have been researching influential young Black people in our world who are role models and making change! The lap books are looking AMAZING! Can't wait to share these with primary classes. @AGESGryphons @SCDSBequity

The grade 7s worked in small groups to select an event/person in the history of women's rights in Canada, research and summarize it, and then build a timeline in the hallway. They did a GREAT job! @AGESGryphons @SCDSBequity #EmbraceEquity #EmbraceEquitySCDSB

Grade 7 students are hard at work, creating lap books that showcase an influential young Black person in our world, who is working to make the world a better place. We will then use the lap books to share our learning with primary students. @SCDSBequity @matt_webbe

Gr 7 classes adorned the Kindergarten fence with orange hearts today as part of their learning around National Truth and Reconciliation Week and as we lead up to Orange Shirt Day. Thank you Gr 7s for your learning and sharing that with us in such a beautiful way! @SCDSBequity

@imgrund @1970mish For many school boards, we don’t do things on a Mon-Fri schedule, it’s based on days 1-5 (for lots of good reasons!) So the shuffle happens on a day 1 normally.
