@ARBNZ25@suzyputrid I'm not going to call people stupid for liking Oasis, but i'm genuinely confused about how people can like such an obviously terrible band. This goes right back to when I first saw them live at the Leeds Irish Centre in 1994.
@ComicBookBookie@suzyputrid The whole landfill indie scene was a function of Oasis showing you could have success without originality. Go to any gig in the late 90s and all you'd see is someone gurning & whining along to basic, plodding song structures ie the Oasis template. Razorlight would be an example.
@jonnyrmitch Oasis are absolutely dreadful. Easily one of the worst British bands ever. This is like asking whether you'd prefer to eat fillet steak or dog shit.
@danielaconte This exhibit is indicative of the asinine politics we have to suffer here in Margate. Targeting children with this kind of stuff feels especially sinister.
@jorge_rupes@PeterMcCormack It's interactions like this that has prompted me to reasses a lifelong commitment to socialism. @jorge_rupes contributes absolutely nothing of substance, just self-righteousness, snark and gifs.
@heather_c_c@ChrisCorney1 Green Party 'policies' would make things far worse for the 99% because they would massively increase inflation, which the poorest suffer from the most.
@ChrisCorney1 I'm a Labour voter and previously Green member. But if Labour couldn't win my seat, I'd vote Reform tactically to keep the current Greens out. They are operating at a level of self-righteousness and vacuity that I don't we've ever seen before in UK politics.
@RSLondon2@proboriented Beyond small amounts of humanitarian aid, the UK Gvt has in no way financed wars in Palestine, Iran or Lebanon. Yes we do send money to Ukraine, about 0.25% of the Gvt's total annual budget. Think again.
@danhind@Recursived Cliftonville voter here. The Greens campaigned vigorously, signs everywhere, likeable candidate, lots of door knocking. ZP and Caroline Lucas visited. Also, the heart of Cliftonville is prime green territory. And the independent standing last time was basically a Labour guy.
@BritainVotesNow As a local I'm surprised. But Grns had a good candidate & put lots of effort in, ZP visit & was door knocked several times. Ref / Tories didn't have much to say, didn't show up to hustings. Labour tried but toxic brand & made bad misstep trying to capitalise on ex-reform DV issue
