DUFUTH has been enrolled in the National Quality Assurance Programme and has received panels of External Quality Assessment (EQA) samples for specific tests across our Chemical Pathology, Microbiology, and Haematology units to further enhance our testing accuracy.

Our outreach at Umuka in Ohaozara LGA proves to be Mother of outreaches recorded in the community. It featured routine dental check, deworming exercise, drug and interventional items, routine eye check, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, nutritional talk and sensitization.

Today we hosted Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State and Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, SSA to the President on SDGs on a joint inspection of the Mother and Child Centre at DUFUTH. The duo expressed commitment to enhancing the centre's infrastructure and services

The Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare has approved the appointment of Mrs. Edith Anih as the new Acting Director of Administration for David Umahi Federal University Teaching Hospital, Uburu. Prior to her appointment, Mrs. Anih was a Deputy Director of at UNTH, Enugu.

Today we held orientation session for our first batch of interns across Radiography, Optometry, Nursing Services, MedLab, and Pharmacy depts. It covered hospital policies, procedures, protocols, as well as roles and expectations towards an enriching clinical experience at DUFUTH.

We are pleased to announce that David Umahi Federal University Teaching Hospital (DUFUTH), Uburu has been officially approved by the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists (Registration) Board of Nigeria (MRTB) as a training site for internship programmes.

On Wednesday we successfully conducted our maiden screening and internship recruitment examination to fill internship positions. 551 candidates participated, competing for internship positions in Nursing, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Services, Radiology and Optometry.
