I've decided I won't be buying MH Wilds day one. This will be the first time since Generations I'm not pre-ordering. Doubt I'll skip it entirely, but I'm waiting probably until the first expansion. Was thinking of making a video about why. Maybe.
I hope this works out. And I hope to see some of you in chat. Gonna be all over the place, but hoping to play some Monster Hunter, some Pokemon, some Diablo and some Final Fantasy.
I've been really wanting to get back into streaming and making videos, but it just hasn't been priority. For Oct I'm doing an experiment; try streaming every Thursday for this whole month. I'll see how my other commitments affect this, and then make a decision on a way forward.
And then the last thing, how is it that in 2025, where both AWS and Azure have infra in South Africa, do we still not have servers here... Some matches the lag felt stupidly horrendous. Outside of #DiabloIV I haven't had rubber banding like that since the #Xbox360 / #PS3 days...
Mixed feelings after the #BF6Beta weekend. On one hand, it feels like the love child of #BFBC2 and #BF3, my two favorites. On the other hand, M&K support on consoles means playing with a controller is horrible and stupid. And sometimes that's how I want to play.
Also, the thing that annoyed me about the UI... It's designed for a mouse. Navigating with controller is terrible. Not just menus, but choosing where to spawn. You need to precisely select moving targets with an analog stick. That's not controller friendly.
Unpopular Opinion (Maybe?): Commander sucks and WotC destroyed what made EDH such a fun casual format by creating pre-cons, and this was made worse by websites that rank Commander decks on competitiveness rather than fun to play.
My struggle with content creators I follow... Either you are entertaining and I don't care what you play. Or I follow because you play something I love. But when both end up playing something I want to experience myself, and I dont want spoiilers/tips/guides etc, what do I watch?
My new approach to dealing with an itch to upgrade my PC.... Turn it off and see how many days go by before I turn it. It's been 4 so far, and I just rather grab the Switch or Ally X. I just end up playing something else. And, surprise, still fun.
@Roscar878 My understanding was that there are pre-order bonus along with the early access on other platforms. I'd like to understand what the problem is on the eShop, because I have pre-ordered there before. It just feels like they are neglecting then consoe it was build for originally.
I loved Fantasy Life on 3DS. My wife's favourite game ever. We were super excited for Fantasy Life i on Switch. Except, Level5 don't give a shit about us. I don't mind going multi platform, I do mind that others get bonuses and EA, while I can't even see the game on eShop. Wtf.
@novabrand So this is how I DIE, a turn based combat dungeon run using customizable dice for combat.

Until then, super happy to be replaying Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate on my 3DS that still works for some reason, despite 10s of thousands of hours of abuse...
Kinda hate that Monster Hunter is as big and as popular as it is today. It means they are catering for the masses, not the fans. It means content creators get weeks or months head start and set the meta and have guides for everything before we play. Can't just pick up and learn.
So yeah, after the beta I decided to hold off on Wilds until the expansion comes out. Or maybe when the hype dies and it calms down on Twitch and sales decline and it goes for 50% off and I can play without everyone on the internet shouts at me because I don't min-max everything.
