I loved Jaylens time in Boston. Myself and majority of us were always going to hate the return. I said from day one top 15-20 players never get near their value in return.
But the thought that one of the best POBO and best cap assessors in Mike Zarren suddenly forgot how to do their jobs in the biggest trade in Brads tenure is funny to me.
I trust Brads player evaluations but I trust Mike Zarrens cap evaluations for building rosters eve more.
If in 2027-28 ownership doesn’t spend by all means call them out. Call them cheap. But until then let’s take a deep breath and actually listen to Brad on why the trade happened.
Two most important answers, in my opinion, were:
- Brad saying the path looked more challenging with 70% of cap and high usage on two players
- Bill on financial concerns saying, “I know we have to prove it, and we will.”
@danield1214 i really like brad stevens and trust him with every decision. but i just want to know how he convinced chisholm this was the best way to win. not saying i don’t believe him i just want to know the pitch.
- Pritchard taking the Brunson leap
- Robinson and PG both playing 65 games
- Tatum MVP year
- great picks to set up the 2H of the Tatum era
- no more Brown on/offs
Fall in line Celtics FC. We’re back.
