Above see a postdoc position on phasiRNAs for which I co-wrote the proposal and intended it for myself. No regrets though and happy for anybody who gets to join this great department in my place now!
Please RT: a postdoc position in maize epigenetics (3 years) is available in the Dresselhaus lab. For more information please click the following link https://t.co/SdQfcUAgnC

One more (last?) paper out - thanks for the opportunity to Chris Lambing (book editor), Thomas Dresselhaus (department chair) and my wonderful student Drin Shabani! A good basis for doing more m6A experiments in a small amount of cells (from any organism): https://t.co/yUAdmbNlPZ
2 Postdoc positions in maize reproductive biology in Regensburg (Germany) with Prof. Thomas Dresselhaus. I can recommend the group and city from my own 1.5 year experience there! Also, another postdoc position there might be announced soon, on phasiRNAs!
@mellamosummer My extra work i did in the last 15 years, which was totally worth it: make a document per topic, write in your notes, WITH the original reference, sort it and use it for writing papers or getting new thoughts through the combined notes...
@MartinReich5 Well, the nutri score compares food within it's food class. So loaded fries might be A because they are just more balanced than plain fries... Not the most informative label... At least frozen broccoli has A as well but I knew before that it is healthy 😉
And research continues a bit as my leisure activity... I will still write some papers and mentor my first and only master student 👍. But the change was due and good.
The postdoc rollercoaster ride (and the prospect of continued 60hour weeks and family-comes-second) was finally too much for me. I did enjoy my research time, warm greetings to my colleagues all over the 🌎, I will miss you!
Luckily, the perfect next job for me was advertised at the right moment, And I already started this month as academic coordinator of a master program!!! This builds on my passion for teaching, organization, communication and student support.

As a fan of B73_v5, I am happy to help it improve even more for the future, so I reported a tandem array of genes labelled as protein-coding as rRNA repeats. (https://t.co/KmwpMn7Zcz). It's easy, they are grateful for the input and it helps us all!
Much awaited thread🧶 !
1/10 Our paper on the role of RNAi factors in meiotic crossover formation and chromosome axis length is finally out!
It is a first, pretty descriptive, paper, and we hope you might have ideas to test the underlying mechanisms

We're hiring! PhD student project in collaboration with Prof. Uwe Rascher, in the @PhenoRob excellence cluster: #computational#imageanalysis to detect early signs of #drought response in novel #Brassica hybrids. Apply by end of June 2021 :) https://t.co/wslo0Kxz96 Please RT!
Help! Does anyone know of a resource for a gene function and GO annotation list for the new B73 version 5 genome? Didn't find it in MaizeGDB, Gramene/BioMart or MaizeMine :-(
