if you’re “remaking” possession in america you might as well not remake it at all, post war berlin is such a big part of this film
the film is inspired by the directors divorce and the location, divided berlin, was used to strengthen the feeling of separation and depression

@lilvampyrbaby I’m kinda over remakes in general but seeing as the original is literally perfect I see no reason for another. I also just don’t think the director fits the film At All, nor do I think dua’s husband can give a performance at the same level Sam Neill did ! Sorry to say it
