@gcooney93 If the issue at the end of the day is money that's preventing a fight in Ireland, then let the promoters take a smaller cut. Let the fighters take a smaller cut. Don't get tax payers money involved.

@riechersm @MariaMunoz1980 @P_Kallioniemi That's very much saying that it was the victims fault for getting shot. Protest is valid and allowed. Normal countries allow protest and, if it is deemed excessive, the penalty is not death by gunshot to the head. That seems to be an American thing.
@riechersm@P_Kallioniemi The US has about 60 times the population as Ireland. According to Wiki there were 1281 people killed by us law enforcement officers in 2025, the figure was 1406 in 2024 and 1089 in 2023. Per capita that would equate to between 18 and 23 people per year in Ireland. Doesn't happen.
