Retired...at the point where
fuck
is my daily mantra.
Never realized how many dipshits I knew!
I will never forgive your absolute ignorance voting for tfg😡
Funny how you can track a thirteen year old child across state lines when she's needing an abortion, but not for the adult who raped her.
Because god forgive we infringe on HIS rights.
I spent the last few months talking to people across the political spectrum, and to people who want nothing to do with politics at all. Here is what I learned.
We are not a divided country. We are a country being divided, on purpose, by an American oligarchy that profits from the fight. They’ve captured our government, denied our healthcare, looted our treasury, and saddled us with crippling debt.
I believe in a New New Deal. Healthcare as a human right. The right of every family to a decent home, and an end to endless wars.
And a dividend paid to every American from the AI economy, because these machines were built on the whole of human inheritance. That inheritance belongs to all of us, and not just to the handful of men playing God with our very existence.
And none of it happens if we just move on. Donald Trump, his family, and his administration are robbing us blind, not just of our money, but of our faith in one another, and they have to answer for it. Truth and reconciliation, not revenge. Then we break the system that let them do it.
The question is not whether we will lose our democracy. The question is whether we will fight to take back what has already been stolen.
I learned in recovery that you can’t heal what you won’t name. Neither can a country.
@NiallHarbison Non- believer in god or gods here...
But if there was a god or gods this man and his team would be perfect examples of what i belive they should be like.
Ever inspiring, endless committment, awe inspiring lives.
I painted this self portrait from a photograph the New York Post and Daily Mail ran over and over again alongside horrible stories about me. They averaged about 3 stories a day between them for years. The image came from their complete theft of my digital life. In the photograph I am in the worst stretch of my addiction. Exhausted. Contemplating how I could end everything.
They published it over and over because they believed it showed something disturbing, something degenerate, something people would recognize as evidence of whatever they were accusing me of that particular day.
I set out to paint it because I wanted to take back what they were trying to steal from me. It wasn’t just the image they had stolen. They had stolen thousands of images. They wanted to steal my humanity. Their portrait was of a monster. My portrait is of a man being reassembled piece by piece, bit by bit, pixel by pixel through the hard work of recovery.
A portrait of someone worth saving. Someone worth forgiveness. For all of me. Past. Present. Future. Gratitude for all of it.
The images they meant as weapons are no longer weapons to me. The man in them is no longer theirs to describe. He is mine, and I love him.
We do recover.
It is important to resist the commodification of basic human needs. Food, water and healthcare cannot be subordinated to market considerations or geopolitical interests. Access to adequate food is a fundamental human right grounded in the dignity of every person. Meeting this need not only alleviates suffering but also addresses underlying causes of geopolitical instability. Indeed, food security is an essential component of global and integral security. https://t.co/DgkM9RegJ7
Reading all the replies to him gives me a hope I haven't felt in years. Maybe... just maybe we can turn this nightmare we're in around. Thank you to everyone who have been responding in such positive and encouraging ways!
I’ve taken a lot of hits, and I’ve deserved some of them. I beat myself up over them more than you can imagine.
But the grace people have shown me here is truly humbling.
Some of the kindest words have come from the people you’d least expect.
And for that I am so grateful.
This isn’t about me. It’s about every person in recovery who shows up and tries again.
And to everyone still in the fight tonight: you are not alone, I see you.
Myself and Rocky would like to wish you a happy Monday morning. He says he is going to attack the week.
His eyesight and weight getting better by the day. He says he loves being alive now ❤️
We’ve been treating Apollo for months.
One of our most complicated cases ever including an escape.
The vets who have pulled this off are absolute heroes
Sometimes when I'm going to sleep at night, I like to focus really hard and think about what my life used to be like as an alcoholic. I think it's really important not just to visualize what you want in the future, but also to remember where you've come from in the past.
That photo is my table that I used to work at every night. I say "work," but Id just have two bottles of wine, four Valiums, and smoke 40 cigarettes while watching YouTube videos and often crying to myself. I was utterly miserable, suffering from depression, anxiety, and just chasing the next drink. People often think being an alcoholic is glamorous and partying and living the high life, but in reality, this is a scene that many people will know very well.
The reason I like to remember those days is because I appreciate what I have now. My life is surrounded by dogs, and while the days might be really tough and long and challenging, nothing will ever be as lonely or as sad or as challenging as those days alone at the desk.
I share this post not looking for comments or praise for being sober, but rather to show people out there who are currently suffering themselves. I know there's thousands of people who are having a sneaky glass of wine or even a bottle. I know there are people with Valium and Xanax in their pocket, popping one on a constant basis for anxiety. Every home, every workplace, every friend group, every sports team is packed full of people suffering from all sorts of things that we would never even know.
You might not get better today, or tomorrow, or even this year. It took me 25 years and probably a thousand attempts to get over my own battles. To be honest, I still struggle with anxiety and depression at times today. But please don't give up. Please remember that you're not alone, and please keep fighting for your own future because better days are out there.
If you are unlucky enough to have somebody who suffers in your friend group or family, stick with them, encourage them. I know it's tough, but one day they'll get there.
Big love to you all. Happy just to be alive here ❤️
One of the most magical days ever at Happy Doggo Land. Nothing will prepare you for the emotional ending and the sheer joy of it all.
Amazing that one little dog like Sonny could bring so many humans together like this for something so magical ❤️
The wound is too wide and inflamed to stitch up. The vets treated her and have her on pain relief.
It’s going to take some time this one. Little Maple has gone into her shell a bit as she misses her mom (2/4)
So, @joerogan probably won’t see this post that’s going viral on Facebook. It’s too long to copy & paste, & it took way more than 4 screenshots
But I think it’s essential reading for everyone, because ALL of the lying MAGA Influencers need to face legal consequences /1
