I really find it hard to not have a positive outlook on the Penguins for the next few years. Here’s why and how they can re-establish the team’s dominance for the remaining years of the core’s cup window:
@Z312Smoove95 @AndrettiAngel98 Yeah, some minor piece like him. The burden of Jack Johnson is already a high price for Ottawa to pay lol. I don’t think they would want to give up much else.
@AndrettiAngel98 future, while also paying the price of holding onto jack johnson for the remainder of his contract. This would free up so much wiggle room and cap space for the penguins to add some defensive and other depth pieces.

I’m sure I missed a few other key points, but I’m honestly excited for our next 2-4 years. I believe we still have a real shot at a cup run or two again.
