The BBC’s silly and unnecessary editing mistake does not change the FACT that Trump encouraged and inspired the violence that led to death and devastation on Jan 6 after he LOST the election. That should be made clear in all communications to his Mafia style lawyers and to the public. He has zero case and that should be communicated with absolute confidence, with the full and voluble backing of 🇬🇧government. And all those who are encouraging and exhorting a foreign felon leader to take down one of Britain’s greatest institutions should never have the gall to call themselves patriots again. Thank you for your attention to this matter
Ayo Edebiri eloquently talks about the political state of the hashtag “Me Too” & the Black Lives Matter movement after being deliberately excluded from the question by an interviewer for their ‘After the Hunt’ press tour.
‘What disturbs you the most about the Glastonbury chants?’
‘They get more attention than the genocide of Gazans.’
Journalist @rachshabi, who is Jewish, weighs in on the fallout of Bob Vylan’s controversial performance.
Also as a writer, I'm not sure what you want is for your brilliant and wildly successful TV series to be processed, in this mad sanctimonious way, as some kind of self-improving moral lesson - leading it to be, I note, constantly mistaken for a documentary. I think what you want is for it to be thought of - correctly - as great drama.
Gutting Social Security.
Slashing the Department of Education.
Paving the way to give tax breaks to billionaires and billionaire corporations.
It’s all part of the Trump-Musk agenda to make our government work better for the rich and powerful, and make everyone else eat dirt.
Elon Musk says that no one has died because he slashed humanitarian aid. I went to South Sudan to check if that's true. It's not. Within an hour of starting interviews, I had the names of a 10-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl who had died because of decisions by wealthy men in Washington.
The visit that moved me the most was to a remote area that used to have no health care, where women routinely died in childbirth. Then a US-funded maternity clinic opened through @UNFPA in December, and not one woman has died since. I showed up, and people mistakenly thought I was responsible for the clinic. One new mom wanted to name her baby for me, and the village elders thanked me and hailed America's generosity. What they didn't know was that Trump/Musk had cut all funding for UNFPA and that as a result the maternity clinic will close this month, and women will once again be bleeding to death in the dust.
