Os amb os, sang amb sang, membre amb membre. Un encanteri de guariment que es troba en alt alemany antic i a l'Atharvaveda, ara cantat de nou en dunga, una llengua feta amb arrels indoeuropees

Bone to bone, blood to blood, limb to limb. A healing charm found in Old High German and in the Atharvaveda, now chanted again in Dunga, a language built from Proto-Indo-European roots.

@dolaraens They do: -o- is the old PIE thematic vowel, the same link you hear in Greek astr-o-nomia. In Dunga it’s only a repair, never a general linker, so it stays rare and unmistakable. Fun detail: Kwe-Zho couldn’t exist here in Dunga, since every kw collapsed to k.
What if an auxlang skipped its source languages and went straight to their common ancestor?
Dunga is built entirely from Proto-Indo-European roots. Name → nomun. Night → nokts. Star → ster.

@dolaraens 3/3 One safety valve: if a seam would stack 4+ consonants, the old thematic -o- slips in (pekt- + -trom → pektotrom). Just three words in the whole lexicon.
@dolaraens 2/3 At the seam the morpheme is always written whole, even if a letter doubles. We used to simplify doubles, until the script built all 6,413 derived forms and found 37 accidental homonyms (da- ‘divide’ and dam- ‘tame’ + -mun both gave damun). Now: damun vs dammun.
@dolaraens 3/4. Laryngeals vanish, or leave an a where they coloured or carried a vowel (*h₂stḗr → ster, *ph₂tḗr → pater). The one manual step: if two roots would land on the same form, we choose a variant (nobos ‘navel’ vs nebos ‘cloud’).
*h₁nómn̥ → nomun
*nókʷts → nokts
*h₂stḗr → ster
Dunga: an auxiliary language built solely on PIE roots with secure cognate sets. Every word traceable to its root.
