Fake Mobile Money Reversal Scam

Scenario:
Auntie Mansa, a 55-year-old market woman, receives a call:

“Mama, I mistakenly sent GHS 500 to your number. Please, I beg you, send it back.”

She checks her message and sees a fake mobile money alert. Feeling sorry for the caller, she quickly sends the GHS 500 back. Moments later, she realizes no money actually entered her account—she has been scammed!

Lesson:
🚫 All reversals are done by the network providers, not you the user.
🚫 If someone calls about a mistaken transfer, hang up and call your network provider.
🚫 Scammers use fake SMS alerts to trick people!
