At long last, I've completed my essay in which I trace the key genealogical threads that ended up weaving together to become e/acc.
I cover a lot a history and philosophy with many interesting (to me, at least) tangential vignettes.

@liminal_warmth No, but now, every AAA piece does. Rather, not "be for everyone" but exhibit a lowest-common-demoninator, offends the fewest normies, suburbification, modern disney-approach to movies, longhoused-HR-approved approach.

Which is why I'd question why it is so "great" that it (male-oriented geek culture) appeals to a wider audience now?
