TW/HK/MO esports since 2019:
- good year intersparsed with 3 years of dog ass and everything in between because our good teams are nuked into non-existence, our bad teams continue to be bad becuase there's no good teams to improve on
#BringBackPCST1
Its frankly worse than this but like:
If we want to be honest this is also on the fact that tournament management still has not gotten rid of coach voice. GET RID of it NOW. There's so many more issues with this LCP management that go beyond the fact that the merger
Unfortunate for DCG but hopefully they evolve in Split 3
For those dunking on LCP
> We lost Junjia/HQ to LPL
> Karsa and Maple retire + PSG BOOM NO MONEY
> Levi retires + GAM no macro
Imagine LEC with caps retiring and we only sent MAD all these years...
is/always/will continue to be a travesty that no one gives a crap about because Tier 2 especially in this region is a terrible place to develop talent at all and that a 15-player cap on tier 1 from one region doesnt create good teams unless your GMs are smart men, but whatever.
DCG's issues also stem from them being a big Split 1 Coach Voice user; you saw a massive drop-off performance wise in regular szn in Split 2 and the playoffs run did paper over it but I think DCG never transitioned properly to adopting Tier 1 macro.
Food chain region (even if i like DCG roster) until coach comms get removed and you will let players develop a brain and think for themselves. I fear TSW wont be much better either (they wont be down 20k gold but they wont win any games either).
The region simply hasn't improved at all from 2025 and anything you're watching is just a regression to the mean because the merger just improved the ostensible eye-test that our best teams got but does jack-fuck to actually improve the region long term
@KarnesMellagio I'm not sure if its also the fact that international online political media skewing right-wing, but I'd generally see way more sentiment against the DPK/Korean Dems for being 'pro-China',, and I guess its basically been a successful misrepresentation of the DPK from Moon.
@KarnesMellagio Woke up from sleeping; but I guess a big factor I'd really identify is all the symbolic things happening with Tsai just-so-happened to happen with Trump and there just emerged a group of pro-Trump, pro-Taiwan people (online especially).. I am acquainted with accounts in there.
